Medicine Rehab
Traditional Sports Medicine that's not so traditional
As a respected physical therapy clinic, naturally we offer traditional
sports medicine and all its modalities: electrical stimulation for strengthening
and reducing swelling; standard exercises, including the Swiss ball, bike
or treadmill. But you'll also get a rehab program that's custom-tailored
just for you. Unlike a lot of clinics, we don't believe in cookie cutter,
one-size fits all remedies. In fact, that's where we break with tradition.
Another
non-conformist approach has to do with our time. As you get better, your
exercise routine gets longer and instead of cutting it back to fit into
our appointment time frame, we let you stay as long as you need while
still being supervised. Now that's different, in a good way.
These
are little extras that owners and physical therapists, Cynthia Wood and
Dianne Khebreh, know make a big difference. With 30 years combined experience,
they can take care of you from head to toe. Every week Beyond Physical
Therapy sees what Cindy calls, "weekend warrior syndrome",
things like rotator cuff injuries, tendonitis, ACL pre and post op, meniscus
pre and post op, and patellofemoral syndromes." Adds Dianne, "Another
problem we've helped significantly is back pain. Unlike a broken bone,
back pain can be a little harder to diagnose. Happily, we've improved
many patients' conditions who had previously not found relief." Cindy
sums it all up, "To see people once again enjoying their lives is the
biggest reason we keep doing this gig!"
