Massage

A little time out goes a long way

Besides feeling fabulous, massage serves a very important role in healing: it increases circulation, reduces scar tissue formation and alleviates muscle spasms. All assisting in a faster recovery, which is why at Beyond Physical Therapy we encourage you to explore our massage services. And while massage can't improve muscle strength, it can help stimulate muscles that have been inactive due to an injury. Our trained massage therapists offer a variety of techniques: sports, deep tissue, Swedish and Shiatsu. Massage has also been shown to release endorphins, the body's own painkillers -- no wonder it feels so good. If you're not using massage as part of a physical therapy program, you're still welcome to book an appointment. After all, massage benefits athletes by relieving tired muscles as well as providing greater joint flexibility and range of motion. Not into sports? Bet you're into de-stressing.
